As of 3/23/2020, Walsh Home Inspections, LLC has implemented new policies and procedures where the only individual permitted to attend the home inspection is the home inspector.  Buyers, sellers and real estate agents cannot be in attendance. Additional inspectors for Oil Heat , Termite, Septic/other will also be allowed to attend the inspection with us. If permission is required by the seller for additional inspectors to be present, please let us know prior to the date of the home inspection.    We apologize for any inconvenience, but we cannot make any exceptions to these policies at this time.  Agents will be asked to give us access to the home and then depart until the inspection is completed.

Safety precautions

While on-site, our inspectors will continue to take the following steps to help maintain a sanitary environment in people’s homes:

  • Wash hands multiple times during every inspection, especially after touching things like faucets and door handles.
  • If available, we will Nitrile gloves and face masks.
  • Bring hand towels or paper towels for drying our hands.
  • If available, we’ll keep hand sanitizer nearby and use it when needed.
  • If available, use disinfectant wipes or the equivalent on faucets and door handles.
  • If any of our inspectors have a fever or cough, we will not conduct the inspection.

With schools closed and kids potentially being left home alone, it’s also important to note that our policy is, and always has been, that we will not enter a home with minors present unless a second adult is present.

We will continue to monitor things on a daily basis, and we’ll adjust any of these policies as needed or recommended to help ensure everyone’s safety.
